Description: Etarfolatide (99mTc-EC20) is a folate-targeted molecular imaging agent that is being developed to identify in a non-invasive manner tumors that overexpress folate receptors and that may respond to folate-targeted therapy.

Development Stage: Etarfolatide (EC20) imaging has been a component of more than thirteen clinical studies, including the PROCEED phase 3 study of vintafolide (EC145), in patients with cancer of the ovary, endometrium, kidney, pituitary, lung and refractory solid tumors and has been administered to more than 590 patients.
