A major problem with many drug therapies is the inability to predict patient response. New predictive medicine tools such as companion diagnostic imaging are needed to identify how well a patient will respond to a particular drug therapy. Recognizing this critical need for new predictive medicine tools, Endocyte has developed molecular imaging companion diagnostic tools for all of its therapeutic product candidates. The companion diagnostic attaches a diagnostic agent to the same drug guidance system used for the therapeutic drug. The companion diagnostic provides a full-body, real-time image to determine whether the guidance system is targeting the diseased cells.
